Adult Ministries
Sunday School:
- The Young and the Restless: This group is made up of young parents. Studies are chosen by members of the class, and are relevant to their issues and concerns. Fellowship is important in each of our classes, so the atmosphere is much like family.
- The Path Finders: You will see all ages here! Some young parents, some empty-nesters, and some are retired folks; all seeking truth and knowledge. Lessons are topical, Bible-based, informative and disciple-building. This group fellowships by serving others, as they take on mission projects in the community and beyond.
- The Pairs and Spares: These baby-boomers study many different topics, and no subject is taboo for discussion. Currently, they are using Life Guide study guides, some are topical and some are Books of the Bible studies. It is definitely Bible-based. Fellowship and Missions on a local level and beyond keep this class active.
- The Dependables: These people have made up the base of this church for many years. “Older but wiser” should be their motto. They use Cokesbury literature, study the Bible in-depth, and fellowship in and outside of the church.
- Gen-Next Class: For ages 20’s and 30’s: This class helps to build strong marriages, families, and parenting skills through verse by verse Biblical Study.
Rachel Circle: Rachel is the Old Testament mother of Joseph and Benjamin. Rachel Circle is a group of “young at heart” ladies women who have grown with the group from its beginnings in the 1970’s. Over the years Rachel’s Circle has grown and welcomes women of all ages; age is not a factor! The women of Rachel Circle come together to study, fellowship and seek to do God’s work in the world around them. Rachel Circle meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm, in members’ homes. Contact Gloria Combs.
Ruth Circle: Ruth is an Old Testament figure of great faith. She is known for taking care of her mother-in-law and following her to a strange land against all odds of survival. The Lord blessed them both for their faith. Ruth Circle is a group of “older but wiser” ladies who fellowship together monthly at noon. They are actively involved in the mission of the church, and have been the backbone of all of the service work the other circles now pursue. Ruth Circle meets at noon on the fourth Thursday of the month, in members’ homes. Contact Ann Jameson: 660-483-0010
Men’s Groups: Men’s Prayer Breakfast The Men’s Prayer Breakfast is held on the first Saturday of each month, at 7:00 am. This is a community event and rotates each month to a different church. Men of all ages are invited to attend these monthly gatherings. Food, fellowship and a lay speaker make these a great way for men to praise the Lord and disciple each other.
